" The NBU Alumni Association is under a serious threat due to fund shortage. We get only 500.00 as one-time subscription of Life Membership. Many programmes are organized but the financial crisis has become an impediment to move ahead, for example, the upcoming Seminars in association with Dinhata College, APC Govt. College, Malda College and the next AGM in early November.
Further, our website vendor has advised that the website ( www.nbuaa.org) should be upgraded to new and much better technology as soon as possible to prevent its crash. The website was launched in 2002. Digital technology has seen a revolution in the intervening period of 14 yrs. We have been advised to spend Rs.20,000.00 for upgradation and mobile-friendly version with multiple advanced features for interfacing among members. But lack of fund is the obstacle.
Therefore, pursuant to a decision of the Executive Committee of NBUAA dated 30/7/16, it is my earnest appeal to each Member to kindly make a contribution of atleast Rs.500.00 to our SBI A/C (SBI A/C No.10195737558, IFSC Code SBIN0002096) by online transfer or direct payment at any SBI Branch as soon as possible.
Your contribution will be duly acknowledged in our website and in the next AGM.
